If this keeps up, someday PR won't be able to rescue the wealthy in their duplicity.

1. Bono is a self-agrandizing putz.
He demands the advanced nations give more in foreign aid, all the while he is a tax dodger. When nations give foreign aid, where does that aid come from Bono? Hypocrite!

2. There is a bit of truth to that, but i doubt he is as callous
As all that, more likely he is heavily managed to present a proper public front. I and really no one else can say if he gives a darn about poverty, if he does, he certainly takes a unique approach to it.

3. Part-owner of Forbes, baby.
I loved U2 for about the first 4 albums. I haven't been able to muster respect for them since. Bono is a huge part of that.

I really wish some psudo-socialists would choke on their feudal castles and exclusive hemp designer
clothing already.

5. the article says 'It's not known how much personal income tax the band members pay in Ireland'
so they are assuming they don't pay their taxes?

if no one knows, the protest is bullshit.

6. unrec since the implied message is that somehow U2 is violence-worthy -
- or whatever. lame post altogether; U2 is hardly your poster boys of "the wealthy in their duplicity".
