My hunch told me that Marriage Equality would pass in New York
I was even cautioned in another thread about being too optimistic about it. But I know that my hunches are usually more right than wrong.

I'm still optimistic that Marriage Equality will be the law of the land… The people, as I've been reminded by many of you, want this to happen.

It will… Perhaps not today or tomorrow, but it is an inevitability.

If you are rightfully impatient, stay that way until it happens…

Impatience Impels Action.

1. I agree completely
That it will eventually happen throughout the United States. I think the reality is people no longer buy the tool of fear that the religions institutions use to keep people obedient. Logic, and reason is slowly prevailing, and piercing this dark cloak that has enshrouded our nation. This is a victory for all of the progressive community, and especially for the LGBT community!

2. It's a victory for everyone who yearns for justice
Even if it happens one step at a time.

3. I agree. The younger generations, even in the red states,

are much more open minded than their parents. It's just a matter of time, and not a long time either, IMO.

I also think Hollywood and TV should get a significant part of the credit. After the AIDS crisis in the early 80's, they made a huge shift to more openness. And the younger generation has grown up with this.

4. My fingers have been crossed for days.
I'm sure that's what closed the deal.

Seriously, this is a very important day. I couldn't be more pleased.
