Does this criticism of Obama make sense?
i'm just talking about the logic, not the substance.

If he's listening to his pollsters, then he is listening to the American people, right?

Rep. John Culberson, R-Houston:

“The President’s decision to tap into this emergency resource is irresponsible, negligent, and an attack on domestic energy production and the national economy. It is time for him to stop listening to his pollsters and start listening to the American people.

4. Yes, you are correct.
IMO, it makes no sense at all. The pollsters are hopefully polling the American people and not Europeans or Asians.

7. I guess it depends on who the pollsters are polling ...
... if they're randomly polling Joe and Jane Sixpack, then no, it doesn't make sense. But if they're polling a pre-selected audience with a certain "vision", then yes those pollsters might be feeding him BS.

 Lies, damn lies and statistics.

8. Maybe to John Culbertson
the "American people" is limited to certain ones, mostly himself.
