Michele Bachmann's step-sister is gay.

Bachmann was born Michele Amble in Waterloo, Iowa, to a pair of lifelong Democrats, but grew up in tiny Anoka, Minnesota. By her teen years, her parents had divorced; her mother remarried and brought step-siblings into the home, creating a Brady Bunchian group of nine kids. One of Bachmann's step-siblings, Helen LaFave, would later come out as a lesbian, a fact that Michele, who became famous opposing gay marriage, never mentions on the campaign trail. For the most part, though, Bachmann's upbringing seems like pure Americana, a typical Midwestern girl who was "in a couple of beauty pageants" and "not overtly political," according to her stepbrother Michael LaFave.

Gary Amble joined KCTV5 in June 1994. Gary is the morning meteorologist on It’s Your Morning and KCTV5 News at Noon.

Prior to joining KCTV5, Gary spent time as the main weather anchor for WHO-TV, Des Moines; morning meteorologist, KFDA, Amarillo; weekend weathercaster KSNT, Topeka; and chief weathercaster, Cable 6, Lawrence.

He received his formal education at the University of Kansas in Lawrence and graduated in 1987 with a degree in atmospheric science. Before arriving at KU, Gary ran track at Allen County Community College and Pittsburg State University.

Gary has been awarded the seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society and is currently an AMS member. He notes one of the highlights of his career to be the flood of 1993 in Des Moines, when he worked nearly 22 hours straight on the air!

Gary enjoys spending time with his wife Lori and children, Kirsten and Tyler. Favorite pastimes include, watching KU football and basketball, and playing softball. Gary also enjoys hunting and fishing. Gary and his family reside in Shawnee, Kan.

17. I have met Gary a few times, he is a nice guy and a real meteorolgist...

unlike his co-host who is not nice and only poses as a meteorologist.

Gary and Michele look much alike. They are both short and have the same eyes. I was truly shocked by the connection. I won't be able to look at Gary the same again, ever.

If she were my sister, I am sure I would find great delight and joy in finding new ways to pester the shit out of her.
