Olbermann further explained the Weiner controversy as a media frenzy, referring to political journalists as "morons."

"Democrats don't support their own in these situations," Olbermann said. "Republicans love to be on the right side of a scandal like this because it doesn't happen that often. And then you get the media, and particularly the political media, most of whom are morons. So you give them something that they can actually understand: a penis."

Olbermann then hinted at "all sorts of rumors" about House Speaker John Boehner before ultimately eluding to the prospect of a show for former Congressman Weiner.

"Well, you know, I've got a nine o'clock show that I'm probably going to hire somebody for," Olbermann said. "Elliott Spitzer's doing OK on CNN at eight o'clock."
