.... at heart?

Do you think they're the real, completely altruistic voice of seniors?

2. AARP's primary interest is the preservation and expansion of
AARP's own bureaucracy.

If seniors get some benefit, good.

I have never joined AARP and never will but they sure advertise alot = junk mail.

4. No, it's about delivering advertisers to senior
It's in the business of making seniors' information available to businesses so that they can sollict their $$$

As an off-shoot, it wants to protect seniors to keep on their good side so that they continue to join AARP. What's the benefit of joining AARP? You get discounts to places. It's all about accessing senior's dollars

5. aarp is on the wrong track
AARP's recent acquiescence to change social security shows
they are NOT in touch w/all the members that they currently
have...IF they continue on this path they will LOSE
memberships and the confidance of the people who $upport
them...bad choice on their part..shame on them.

6. My impression is that AARP always tries to get into the good graces of the
plitical party that is in power. I've also joined a newer retirement mag. May
quit AARP by not renewing my dues.
