Reagan Dunn runs to succeed McKenna
Dunn
Reagan Dunn is a Republican by name, by his blood lines, through service in the Bush administration and on the officially non-partisan King County Council: He is now making his first bid for statewide office.
Dunn announced Tuesday that he is running for state Attorney General. He is seeking to succeed fellow Republican Rob McKenna, who declared his candidacy for governor last week.
“I’m going to bring a strong criminal bent to the office,” Dunn said in an interview with seattlepi.com. Dunn promised that he would “work hard to use the bully pulpit of the Attorney General’s office to push for stronger criminal justice in the state.”
Dunn is the son of the late U.S. Rep. (1992-2004) Jennifer Dunn and former King County Republican Chairman Dennis Dunn. He was named after Ronald Reagan, and was pictured in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as a schoolboy before the 1980 Republican National Convention.
