A very interesting moment in last night's GOP debate
When the subject of the debate turned to marriage equality a very interesting thing happened. I am not referring to the answers (though Bachman made her only screw up here) but the reactions of the GOP crowd to the answers. New Hampshire has marriage equality and the audience cheered, loudly, those candidates who promised to leave it up to the states, while they were silent for those who advocated a federal amendment. A GOP crowd supporting marriage equality.

1. Here in NH states' rights is a BIG thing. Once the NH GOP gets rid
of the current governor and the rest of the dems in the legislature, they'll get rid of marriage equality. It will be up to those of us here to get rid of them first. The canary in the mine is Charlie Baker who has been on a "green jobs" tour up here. What a bag of crap he is. He's worried about his job.

2. I didn't watch much of the debate
Which candidates advocsted leaving it up to the states and which ones wanted it banned? I'm guessing Sanatorium, Cain and Bachmann want it banned.

6. Cain and Paul said leave it to states
Bachman first said that then made clear she wants a federal amendment. Gingrich, Pawlenty, Romney, and Santorum all favor amendment.

3. Nothing interesting occurred unless someone's a fan of pathological liars
I'm not saying anyone here is, I'm saying that's all the "debate" was, a bunch of liars on a stage.

4. I'm guessing a few of those assclowns on stage didn't realize that
marriage equality was "the law of the land" within the state boundaries of NH.

7. I very much doubt they support marriage equality. More likely they like the buzz
words -states' rights. And they'd be happier to ban it in their state.

8. well, I know Paul supports gay marriage
And I am confident that Cain does as well. Actually, Ron Paul stating that he would leave it up to the states is his only position he could possibly take. He would not support a federal ban, nor would he support a ban in any state. He is basically saying "I will never prevent gays from marrying, but if you crazies in Alabama want to, I won't stop you either."
