Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore defend Sarah Palin against media onslaught
Source: Yahoo News

Is Hollywood softening its opinion on Sarah Palin?

Over the weekend, the former Alaska governor got a surprising show of support from actor Ashton Kutcher, who trashed the media for digging through thousands of emails Palin sent when she was in office.

"As much as I'm not a fan of Sarah Palin I find sifting through her emails repulsive and over reaching media," Kutcher said on Twitter.

The message was re-tweeted by his wife, actress Demi Moore, who added, "So agree!"

9. and in addition to that, they were requested while she was still gov and running as VP
It has taken this long for the media to force her to release them. So they were pertinent at one time.

7. If I based my opinion on what celebrites thought, then maybe I would care.
However, since I don't give a damn what any celebrity thinks, Ashton and Demi thoughts are irrelevant.

13. I have never liked Kutcher.
He was scum as Kelso in That '70s Show. And there hasn't been anything he has done that I liked. His Nikon commercials suck too.

Kutcher has demonstrated that his reasoning skills when it comes to life skills are nearly non existent.

16. *ahem* Punk'd *ahem*
Kind of hypocritical for a guy who made a name for himself filming famous people in distress, to voice his opinion regarding OFFICIAL e-mails, AKA PUBLIC RECORD, as them being a "personal attack" on one of them celebrities.

Kutcher should just shut up and do what he does best: sit pretty.

Good call.

If they were personal emails, I'd agree... this is the business of the State of Alas-KA we're talking about. No one owns those except the people of the good State of Alaska! Haven't they been through enough? There are many, many damn fine liberal Alaskans who would no doubt agree.

I've made a mental note of this and may never look at him and the wife the same again.

18. Yeah, but they're so untalented.
I believe Demi is involved in Planet Hollywood with Schwarzenegger, Stallone, and her ex-hubby Willis (loved him in 12 Monkeys).
Kutchner's Butterfly Effect blows chunks. Demi's Disclosure was interesting, but I think she was a corporate hatchet-woman and sexual stalker in that one, not much of a stretch.

32. I don't get the email thing either. She's not in office. She's not announced -
- she's running for anything. And - after all this hoopla - it looks like there's pretty much ZILCH in the emails. Jon Stewart just did a bit on this very situation.

We should be spending time looking at emails of those in office and those running for office and not wasting time on Palin. Not to mention that the emails were as informative and exciting as the contents of Capone's vault. Real waste of energy and time, IMO.

45.  Actually, I do a good bit of historic research so I LOVE public records -
- the difference is that I'm focused on finding something very specific and I only search public records that relate to what I'm looking for. There was no specific reason to search these records other than the abstract hope of finding an embarrassing moment on someone who isn't in public office and hasn't announced that she intends to be. And that didn't happen.

Lack of focus + waste of time + waste of energy + no results = Epic Fail.

47. I think it is too early to judge

One area of interest was Todd's involvement. Also the general subject matter relegated to the privilege log, and whether the communications were indeed privileged or simply withheld is interesting.

Correlating the messages to historical events isn't work I would expect to be completed soon, and at this point there trees than forest.

39. This is less about politics and more about H'wood celebs/paparazzi
From this pair's perspective, it's natural for them to sympathize with ayone subjected to what they would likely regard as intrusive paparazzi tactics.

From their perpective, it's all about intrusions on privacy, something that is likely to be a sore spot with any Hollywood celeb. I doubt they're seeing the distinction between a celeb and a government official.
