As far as I can tell, Weiner has done outstanding work in office.

I don't like pols lying about anything; but to me, there's a difference when it concerns something that's none of our dam' business to begin with.

I might feel differently if pols actually suffered consequences from lying about things that actually DO matter to their job performance; but so long as they don't, I can't go along with condemning guys like Weiner.

Polaroids of each other topless, then gave them to their boyfriends, who had seen that tableau in real life as well. I hid mine very well, and consulted it from time to time. When we broke up, I destroyed it. Not exactly sexting, but the best we could do in the 1960s. The impulse is the same today as it was then. Teenagers are sexual beings, it appears.

discuss that with our kids. They are now of the age where if they do it, it is immature, but out of my hands.

I can just imagine some parent finding pictures and trying to confiscate all the media before grounding the kid.

Teenagers are immature. They don't always understand the consequences of things like this.

AND I should know. I was a teenager once. I can't imagine what stupid things I would have put out there if that had been around when I was young. The chances are good that I would have shown a strong lack of common sense.

11. Yup. We were all young and foolish once.

The example I gave is nothing out of the ordinary, really. Kids have been show each other their naughty bits since the beginning of time. We are mammals, after all, and mammals do sexual stuff when they reach sexual maturity. I just can't get overly exercised about it. Should my high school girlfriend and her best friend have taken and given those photos? I'm sure their parents would say no. Me? I thought it was nice of her. It wasn't as though it was a big secret or something.

Still, I knew that it would not end well if my parents found that photo, and I'm sure she knew that, too. It was a risky sort of thing to do, but risks are part of the process of growing up, too. It all worked out OK.
