WI republican makes wild charge he refuses to back up
A republican in the proud tradition of Tailgunner Joe...

MADISON (AP) — A Republican state lawmaker on Thursday stood by an email he sent a constituent that said he believes several people were “bought out” by police and fire unions to stop them from being included in a bill curbing collective bargaining rights.

Rep. Chris Kapenga of Delafield told The Associated Press that he stands by the email but he wasn’t talking about anyone in particular.

(snip)

In his email sent Saturday, obtained and first reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Thursday, Kapenga wrote: “We have pushed for police and fire to be included with all other public employees. Bottom line is the unions have bought out several people and we can not get it put through. It has been very frustrating.”

1. So name names. Which of your Republican colleagues was "bought out"? ....
...while you're at it, please give us your estimate of how much damage was done to the Capitol by protesters.

2. Fitzgerald comes to mind, Chris
Fitzgerald family, which runs both houses of the legislature and, lately, the state troopers. Dirk Johnson reports.

3. A freshman politician totally clueless about deals.
He graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids MI. I wonder if it is similar to the likes of Liberty University or Oral Roberts. His activities are mostly religious in nature.

Another Wisconsin politician born in a different state. Birthplace: Zeeland, MI. He says he has lived in Waukesha County for most of his adult life. So that along with his birthplace and education info indicates it was sometime after he turned 20 or 21 before moving to Wisconsin.
According to an online newspaper he had only lived in the district for less than a year.

I wonder if he bothered paying attention to what was really happening outside of his city before running for office. More than likely he didn't read any newspapers.
