1. Only if Clinton should have also resigned
Clinton lied about *actual* sex with a subordinate at work, and he lied under oath.

5. At the time, I thought Clinton should have resigned.
Not for the actual affair but for lying about it. Had he fessed up right up front though, I would have opposed the idea of him resigning.

8. What lie did Clinton tell under oath?
I keep hearing that he told one, but no one seems to be able to put their finger on precisely what it was. And I mean specifics, not generalities.

10. At the End of the Day
the judge agreed with Clinton's defense that "I did not have sexual relations" could be construed as an accurate statement.

The only lie Clinton was really nailed was his answer to the question whether he and Monica Lewinsky had ever been alone in a room together (or some variation, like within X feet of each other).

While minor, that lie was particularly dumb because it was unnecessary. No reason he couldn't have said "Sure, she was intern in the office. We probably were the only people in the room at some point."

14. Yeah, my lady would sure buy that "eatin' ain't cheatin' " line
Not.

Bill Clinton destroyed the effectiveness of a potentially great presidency. The only thing he got out of it was to make the Repubes go ape shit in the opposite direction with impeachment, which just continued to rub the noses of America's kids in a subject that most parents would rather avoid talking with their children about.

The abuse of power is another issue with Bill Clinton's activity, and both Clinton and Weiner have put themselves in a position to be blackmailed by people whose agendas might not agree with our own.

17. Hard to blackmail a guy when everyone knows.
"Hey, Bill, still screwing?"

"Could be."

"Well, watch that heart. Don't wanna die like Rockefeller."

19. Please ask yourself
What could Bill Clinton have accomplished in the last three years of his Presidency if he had simply not had any kind of inappropriate relations with an intern? As I recall, just before the Lewinsky story broke, the biggest controversy surrounding President Clinton was the speculation over what breed of a dog he would get.

America forgave Bill Clinton twice for the past we knew he had. He didn't have to take that as permission to keep on having that kind of behavior.

18. I just realized you STILL don't get what happened.
Just as you have been completely distracted by the slight of hand in Weiner's case. (Look over here! PENIS! PENIS! PENIS!)

As you will be the next effective Democrat they attack. What a gift to the Republicans.

20. Weiner gave the gift to Republicons
Just like Ensign and Vitter did to us. I guess I hoped we'd be better and smarter than a bunch of sexually repressed religious nuts.

16. He didn't lie under oath. He lied in a deposition taken for a case
that was dismissed on its merits. People still think that case was heard and that he lied under oath. We can thank Fox for that.

21. In a deposition
A person is sworn under oath, it has the very same legal impact as lying on the stand in open court. Please cite some proof or showing that I'm wrong about this.

6. No.
I'm looking forward to no more Weiner threads or polls.

Not when the repukes applauded Diaper Dave or Vitter the Shitter as we call him around here is still in office. He broke laws, had contact with prostitutes, and while I try very hard to have a live and let live attitude, when I had to look up his 'fetish', I decided that he's a freak, and not in a good way.
