We only CLAIMED that the private lives of public figures were none of our business ...
Did you think we really meant that?

Clearly, we've created a variation of DADT here.

We think that the private lives of public officials are none of our business UNLESS we find out about them.

Then, if they LIE about the personal life that we said we don't care about ... well, THEN they have to resign for lying to us about something we said we did not care about.

The only conclusion I can come to is that WE were lying when we said "we don't care about their personal lives".

We most certainly do.

5. There seems to be two realities,
quaint ideals like privacy and civil rights the way most of us once learned it, and the new corporate manufactured reality.

The New Normal has infiltrated every aspect of our lives because people are being educated and reeducated and programmed to accept new definitions of old ideas. Privacy is one of them.

These days, the only way to destroy a public figure is by character assassination and scandal, their policies are almost untouchable. The significance of this is profound.

6. You are grasping at straws
They have to resign for lying to us. Period. Doesn't matter what they lied about or if we think it is any of our business or not.

7. It is not such a private life when you deliberately make it public.
Anything you put on Twitter, on Facebook, any email you send to anyone else -- you're sending off into the world. It's out of your control. Good luck on claiming it's private.

8. So if I send you a letter, that's public?

I like the phrase "Deliberately Public".

What, he sent a picture of his dick to Newsweek? THAT would be "deliberately public".

Let's try this ... I will bet that YOU have made purchases on-line.

And so using your logic, YOU have DELIBERATELY made you account information and passwords PUBLIC.

When other people start using your information ... to quote you ... "It's out of your control. Good luck on claiming it's private."

Good plan.
