what was revealed was revealed years and years after what it's documented that he did. Mark Souder was a repub rep who resigned last year after admitting to an affair. Chris Lee was a repub rep who resigned this year after sending a shirtless photo of himself to some woman. Care to explain how those facts fit with your theory that repubs get away with it?

Yes you are being disingenuous because you have made the pictures the basis for Vitter's survival and thus harping on Wiener to succumb to your demand that he resign. The reason for Vitter's survival has been clearly the protection the rethugs have given him which has scared off democrats from vehemently attacking him. How may high ranking democrats consistently have called for Vitter to step down? Yet we have high ranking rethugs calling for Wiener to step down. The so-called centrist democrats along with the rethugs allies have made it a goal to eliminate all strong and loud progressive/liberal voices in congress. I have the nagging suspicion that the next strong liberal voice they will target will be either Sen. Sanders or Congressman Kucinich.
