he made a statement that reaffirmed that he would not resign but...when Vitter and ANY other sitting politician who made a similar, even more egregious mistake resigned from whatever public position he held, he'd reconsider. He is a real fighter. His voting record in Congress for the last thirteen years speaks for him, and as Rachel pointed out tonight, David Vitter is not getting the same treatment from his party that Weiner is getting from ours.

He does need to go into counseling to get through this.
