First House Democrat calls for Weiner to step down
The bricks are crumbling for Rep. Anthony Weiner.

Rep. Allyson Schwartz (D-PA), the House Democrat in charge of recruiting top notch candidates to run for the House of Representatives in 2012, is the first House Democrat calling for Weiner to resign.

"Having the respect of your constituents is fundamental for a Member of Congress. In light of Anthony Weiner's offensive behavior online, he should resign," Schwartz said in a prepared statement.

And Maine Representative Michael Michaud (D-ME) is also saying it would be best for Rep. Weiner's family to step aside.

But no one yet from the New York delegation.

3. Traitor.
Why not just stay away from it?

No wonder the Democrats are always so fucked. We can't stick together.

4. How ironic. Have a look.
Perhaps the most notable example of the tenor the campaign took on was the assertion from the Schwartz campaign that Rocks had an alcohol problem and engaged in promiscuous behavior. The comments had apparently been prepared as a joke by a staffer, released accidentally, and Schwartz apologized, but the campaign became increasingly acrimonious from that point forward.

5. "We'll hang together or hang separately". Still applies to those who let it all hang out.

This is a GOP feeding frenzy. We shouldn't be throwing bodies at it - only makes it grow, like some ugly radioactive monster.

8. if it was his "constituents" asking him to resign, that might matter- but
what Schwartz says, or any other rep. says really doesn't matter.

9. Let me guess: Both of them Blue Dog scum?
Weiner should let his constituents decide. If they don't want him back, c'est la vie--but fucking David Vitter is still in the Senate and his thing was WAAAAAAAAAY worse than this.

10. Did either of them bother to ask his constituents what they thought?
Oh, wait, of course not. They went with the standard DNC move and attacked one of their own so that the Republicans might like them.
