Weiner Told Porn Star to Lie, Offered PR Help
Congressman Anthony Weiner instructed one of his Internet women how to lie about their relationship ... and even offered PR help from his team, which could create major legal issues for him ... TMZ has learned.

Weiner and former porn star Ginger Lee exchanged scores of sexual emails over a long period of time. When the underwear scandal broke on May 28, Lee began receiving calls from the media, and Weiner was more than happy to help her control the situation ... by lying.

I think he will resign by the end of the week. What he told her to say is eerily remniscent of the parents statements to the press regarding thier teenage daughters following Weiner.

I was with him until this allegation came out (if true, but I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt).

If we don't make the public/private distinction clear, then the Breitbarts of the world can destroy anyone they want, any time they want.

3. Offering PR help is not the same thing as asking her to lie.
Nor would asking her to lie be a crime (AFAIK) unless she were going to be under oath and he was covering up a crime.

OTOH, he flatly denied doing this in his mea-culpa yesterday. So evidence that he was still lying at the time would be a big deal.

25. I'm a PR person, and we always advise...
...our clients to tell the truth. I won't work for or with anyone who lies. I mainly
service high-tech and biotech companies--and could never do political PR.

I do agree that asking her if she wants PR help--is not helping her to lie--unless he's
specifically coaching her to lie.

She may need PR help to ride through this storm. Crisis PR is a niche area of PR.
Nothing wrong with that.

If he was coaching her to lie and obfuscate--then that's not PR.

hanging somewhere. Really.... resign at the end of the week... Thomas was sexually harassing women and he gets to keep his job.... In fact some judge told women to expect it on the job.... Gee I wonder what ground breaking legislation has been passed under the radar of our family values assessment of this congressman who was going after this corporate tool-Thomas.

Forget morality for a moment, I really thought Weiner was more intelligent than this. Not only did he do these things over email and texts (you may as well just paint a sign), but he continued sending messages to these women even after the story broke?

Whatever you do in your private life as long as people aren't hurt, kids are not involved, or the livestock is not scared
I am fine w/ but for this idiot to get involved w/ a porn star knowing that the republicans thrive on personal attacks
and trash dems for anything they can find is just stupid. This is like Edwards running in 2008 w/ his personal baggage.

Damn it and I liked him too .... he was a great voice for our side.

has nothing to do with how you behave and your "morals"

Just becuase one believes man is part of the cause of global warming, doesn't mean you won't go out to a bar and get fucked up and in a fight.

Just because you think Bush is an evil prick doesn't mean you won't fuck around on your husband.

Just because you spend 60 hours a week fighting for homeless causes, doesn't mean you won't steal a wallet from Dillards.

He was generally assumed to be DLC, because
