The Technology the Oil Companies Don't Want You To Have.
http://www.mpg-systems.co.uk/

Fuel cost table for Diesel

Look up the average yearly mileage accross and then your vehicles current MPG's down. The figures show at 100% what your vehicle costs in fuel each year. With the hydrogen system you can see what it would cost you to run your vehicle based upon the gains expected such as 130% meaning a 30% increase in PMG's. Please see the botton table for Unleaded fuel.

3. Anytime a website speaks of efficiencies over 100% it's a huge
red flag IMO.

I know they explain it, but nonetheless, it's still a red flag.

5. Clearly stated 30%.... it's a matter of numerical semantics. n/t

6. Yeah.
The whole concept looked a little hokey to me as well.

One of those things that promise 30% to 40% and deliver 2%. I may be completely off base, but it just seems so late night infomercial to me.... but wait, theres more! Order in the next 10 minutes and we'll give you a second kit for free!

7. The physics don't sound right to me.
I'm very skeptical that you're going to recover more energy than you use to split the water.

I keep seeing similar systems advertised, but I don't see any auto manufacturers showing any interest. They're putting a lot of R&D into hybrid and pure electric systems, so why would they ignore this if it's so great?

8. Because Detroit is in collusion with Big Oil!!!
Yeah, that's what they said during both times in the 1970's when these types of scams came out then, too.

9. I have no love for big oil,
but the auto manufacturers are obviously interested in developing cars that use less gas or no gas at all. Big oil hasn't stopped them from producing hybrids and pure electrics, so why would it stop them from using this if it worked? (I know you're being sarcastic. I'm just stating this for those who might believe that big oil is suppressing this so-called technology.)

10. Absolutely right
Besides, the automobile manufacturing market is much more diversified today than it was in the 1970's. I can't imagine Big Oil buying off car manufacturers the world over, especially those parts of the world where fuel costs even more than it does here.

I didn't believe it in the 1970's, either.

12. The oil companies are pretty much ok with you having this technology.
Mainly because it doesn't actually work. HHO is a scam. There's a reason nearly all the companies selling this stuff disable comments on the videos they post. It hurts business when people point out their product violates several fundamental laws of physics, and they can only type "SHILL!!!!" so many times before they're risking carpal tunnel.

All these companies are using the same techniques and equipment and posting different results. You don't want his snake oil, mine cures twice as many diseases!

A good explanation for why it doesn't work can be found http://www.aardvark.co.nz/hho_scam.shtml">here.

14. Has anyone ever done a proper measured comparison?
That is, not just someone fitting it, driving around and saying "my MPG is better now", but accurate measurements of the same loads (which are representative of the work needed in a vehicle) on an engine? And running it long enough to check whether wear on the engine is better or worse (because getting 10% better mpg may not be worth it if it takes a couple of years' life off the engine).

15. Aw c'mon, we know that science-y stuff doesn't matter.
What's important here is that they are SAYING all the right things. It fits perfectly into the narrative that the car and oil companies are in collusion to keep fuel-efficient MAGIC technology from the masses. In other words, it says what I want to believe, so it MUST BE TRUE!

16. Could someone explain why "Physics" of this solution impossible?

It seems just like using the alternator to produce an additive to gas line. Not sure how much it would improve the performance but the small hydrogen additive could result in a cleaner burn of diesel.

17. Not impossible, just ridiculously inefficient.
It takes energy to break the molecular bonds between hydrogen and oxygen in a water molecule - "ain't no such thing as a free lunch."

19. No.
It takes energy to run the alternator and generate hydrogen gas from water. The engine has to work harder. This is not what happens in a hybrid.

20. It absolutely enhances the burn and that is how it does what it does. Anyone who tells
you that laws of physics are being broken doesn't understand what enhanced combustion process means.

21. No one is disputing the combustion process.
The problem is that you assume the hydrogen is magically created for free. It isn't. It takes energy to split the hydrogen from the oxygen in water. Where do you think this energy comes from?
