Pro-Marriage Group Decries Disney Adultery Week

Orlando, FL 6/5/11

A well-known Pro-Marriage organization is protesting the annual phenomenon of persons who are committing, or who have committed, adultery flocking to Disney World each summer in huge numbers. Johnathan Edwards, spokesperson for Americans for Loyal Marriage, speaking at a rally outside Disney World's entry area in a press conference yesterday said, "Each year millions of adulterers line up to visit Disney World in a spectacle of hypocrisy and disregard for ethical standards in marriage. Some are actively committing adultery while visiting the Disney theme park, while others mask their guilt by visiting the park with their betrayed spouses and even young children. We believe that children should not be exposed to this shameful phenomenon when they visit a theme park that is based on all that is good and moral about marriage and the sanctity of the family."

Stating that Americans for Loyal Marriage was planning a national boycott of all Disney enterprises as long as the company supports adulterers in this way, spokesperson Edwards declared, "If all persons who have never committed adultery joined our boycott across America, the immoral Disney supporters of disloyalty and venery in marriage would hear our message loud and strong. Many hundreds of Americans would deprive Disney of the filthy lucre they gain by endorsing adultery in the way that they do. Attendance at their theme parks would diminish by as much as .01%, sending a clear message to the corporation."

At the rally, over six members of ALM joined Zimbalist in his call for the boycott, some bearing signs emblazoned with slogans, such as "Keep it in Your Pants or Don't Come Here!" and "Adultery - It's on God's Top Ten No-No List!" Disney World visitors continued to stream into the theme park, many of them flaunting their blatant heterosexuality and adulterous nature by wearing loud, flashy, ill-fitting clothing and showing their bare arms and lower legs in their attempts to attract more partners in their adultery.

This group must have been encouraged by the overwhelming success of the Christian Right in shutting down the unofficial Gay Days at Disney World, I guess...

"Adultery is, um, like a total violation of Republicon Family Values and stuff. The EEEvil adultererers should, um, get their fannies stuck with diaper pins and other horrible Olde TestaMint PUNishMints. Sneer."

5. That's OK. It only works if it fools a few people.
I always put signals in these. But if someone doesn't fall for it, I wasn't successful.

I didn't catch the link at first. It's kind of sad that the religious right has gotten so crazy that at first glance it didn't surprise me at all or maybe I am the crazy one.
