How would you feel about taxpayer funding for the Patriot Guard Riders?

I'm just throwing this idea out there as a kind of Think Piece, but why not?

If the Westboro Baptist Cult can legally promote their hate in front of funerals, what is to forbid the government from financially assisting groups that wish to block and obstruct Westboro's message of hate? It could help provide the Patriot Guard Riders with more tools to take on Westboro.
