Need a little levity? Have HBO? watch Bill Maher - at 11pm EST - the repeat
Edited on Fri Jun-03-11 10:01 PM by Mira
I'm in the middle of the first run, havin' fun, as the week gets dissected and analyzed by Melissa Harris-Perry, former Rep Rick Lazio (R) New York, and Larry King.

Melissa is wiping the floor with Lazio, in a thorough job at break neck intellectual ability.
King is entertaining in his off the cuff simple remarks,
and it's general political reparte with a little bit of valuable input from all sides, OK, maybe not Lazio, but he is not too obnoxious.

It's recommended.

Edited to add that the New Rules were utterly and delightfully topical as always and not too grating today, just simply spot on.
Additional fun to the entertainment value of them was watching Larry King and Melissa laugh and enjoy them.

As a matter of fact it was fun to see Larry King participate rather than host. A nice old man who has had more exposure to all the people they talked about, made fun of and talked about than all the others combined.

2. Lazio seems to be a proffessional doormat.
Who does not step on him?

3. I'm enjoying it right this minute :)
I'm pleased that he didn't focus too much on the Wiener business. Then again, they're talking about John Edwards now.

Nevertheless, your overview is spot-on! :)

6. I was proud of my boss Shaun Donovan, HUD Sec.
He got a few stats wrong but it was a great show! I'm in love with MHP. Lazio is a fucking joke!!!

7. He impressed me. Seemingly knowledgable, well versed and quick to
talk turkey about statistics and he showed insight and of course very much on the spot to support the administration.
As he talked I thought back to the Bush cabinet and their hemming and hawing and being just fuckin' uninformed, i.e. jokes: like Fazio.

MHP rose to fast fame through Rachel putting her on the air and letting us meet her.
She is a force, and we are witnessing her full hour of fame as I see it.
