Corporations attacke again. Tenn. bill criminalizes sharing passwords for Netflix-type accounts.
Tennessee lawmakers passed a groundbreaking measure today that would criminalize using a friend's login -- even with permission -- for such entertainment services as Netflix or Rhapsody.

The bill now goes to Gov. Bill Haslam, who has generally favored the legislation.

The measure was pushed by recording industry officials worried over losses from illegal music sharing.

5. They don't care about big state governments
they hate big federal government because a big federal government just gets in the way of fun and its far more expensive to buy for a Senator then a State Rep.

2. I've been wondering about this...
I have discs sent to my house, but I go to my daughter's house and stream movies all the time. It's still me, but it's another IP address, so I was wondering if they would pitch a fit. Better not. I love NetFlix... but if they get pissy with me, they are just another greedy ass corporation at that point and they can piss off.

3. Yet another WTF moment. All of the SH** is getting sooooooooo F'en stupid. It's
easy to monitor the abuse of an account and if the concern doesn't like it they can cancel the account. This BS is getting out of control in this dystopian society these ignorant politicians are determined to create.

9. What? They're not relying on the magic of the marketplace?
Isn't this another big government regulation restraining the entrepreneurial spirit of the American people? What? Oh, it's protectionist legislation to maintain the profits of a big company? Well, no problem! Is tossing people in jail for watching movies enough? Shouldn't there be some hard labor involved, too?

11. More Big Government solutions from Republicans who hate their constituents.
Obviously, this moron can't begin to understand the unintended consequences to this type of legislation. The nanny State solution will require lots more government in our lives to police, arrest, try, and put in prison. No constructive solutions, just more unenforceable laws that attempts to criminalize yet more citizens.
