Seriously - this is the best that the GOP can do for women candidates?

Seems both Palin and Bachman don't have a fricking clue when it comes to American History.

Michelle Bachmann's revised history:
“You’re the state where the shot was heard ’round the world at Lexington and Concord,” Bachmann told the crowd. (WMUR has the video.)

Of course Lexington and Concord are about an hour’s drive south of Manchester … in Massachusetts. It’s probably not the best way to introduce oneself to the famously flinty New Hampshire-ites who are enormously self-serious about their role in the presidential nomination process.

And now Sarah Palin's revised history:
“He (Paul Revere) who warned, uh, the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms uh by ringing those bells and making sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free and we were going to be armed. "

Seriously, if Obama screwed up American History that wretchedly he would be slammed thru the press and oh, probably would have never been nominated to even run for President.

These aren't challenging US History questions - these are 5 minute google checks to make sure you don't look like a dumbass when you talk about history.

Edit Note: These women go around talking about how they are shining stars for the women's movement but seriously what are 2 women who are too stupid for words who, if god forbid elected, will probably just turn the country over to some Dick Cheney like person while they trot around the country looking pretty and exposing their stupidity. I want the first female president to be someone who, if trapped alone in a room by herself, could answer questions with knowledge and make world-impacting decisions on her own.

2. But Palin is sounding the perfect dog whistle about "taking away our arms..."
It is not history that matters in here ramblings but the image of someone "taking away our arms." She is playing on the same irrational fears that made millions run out and empty the shelves of ammo when Obama became out president.

5. This has nothing to do with guns, this has to do with basic knowlege of 9th grade American History
Actually, I think Paul Revere's ride was first taught to us back in elementary school

17. Her followers will only hear the part about "taking away arms"
To them that is the only lesson of history.

How did the British expect to take away our arms by ringing those bells?

That woman CANNOT speak a coherent sentence (inaccuracy aside). Both of them are awash with idiocy.

Bachmann. It would just be a waste of her time. You can't fix stupid.

6. "Women" might be a strong word. I assume they are biologically female, but they aren't mature.
They're little girls playing with Barbie dolls and playing dress up and pretending to be princesses and presidents. The male GOP candidates are no better - little boys playing with toy soldiers and Tonka trucks and pretending to be kings and presidents.

The GOP doesn't have any viable candidates. I hate to say it, but the current GOP field makes the SHRUB look intelligent!

7. How about Village Idiots
No that's not fair, those village idiots really shouldn't be compared to the likes of Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann.

8. Yup. I think that's the best they can come up with.
Dim bulbs and crazy eyes.

Sadly, the requirements for being eligible to be President do not include knowledge or intelligence.

15. Yep. Even if you forget about ideology for a moment, just comparing
the two Dem women who have seriously run for Pres and VP, Hillary and Ferraro, you can see the difference between the parties and their bases.

16. And what sucks is that the right will villify Dem women like those 2 because they aren't 'MILFs'
To the GOP they want their candidates 'sexy but stupid' instead of 'smart and practical'

12. Arianna Huffington summed up Palin on Morning Joe today
she said of Palin's bus tour that it exhibits Palin's lack of intellectual curiousity. Of course she could have done a little research before she visited each stop. But - she just doesn't care about what she claims to care so much about. What she wants is celebrity. So, she just wings it - each time. "George Washington is my favorite President." Why? Specifically? The absurd Paul Revere babble - it's just laziness. It's disinterest. She just oozes Americana silliness half remembered from elementary school. And - to a certain segment - that is enough, because that's all they remember, too.
