They dont' have the majority in the senate and I would guess the dems would be able to muster up 40 senators to filibuster. But lets say it gets past that - I highly doubt the GOP has the votes to block a veto by Obama.

To me it just sounds like a waste of time and alot of 'Smoke & Mirrors'.

1. They will try to pass all sorts of stuff, knowing full well that
it is only for show. Even if anything they pass gets passed by the Senate, Obama's still got the veto pen. But thr people who voted them in will be satisfied and they can campaign on it in two years.

4. An outright repeal is not going to happen.
I wouldn't rule out a deal to make changes

6. (1) They can do much mischief from the funding side. (2) You assume that Dem Senators will
stand up to them - a big leap of faith. (3) You also assume that Obama will go against a bill if passed by both houses - again a huge leap, especially considering that he has shown a habit of compromise/complicity with the pukes. He would probably "bargain" with them and in exchange for keeping only the mandate to buy policies from the insurance parasites, agree not to veto.

Finally - whether they actually succeed to any degree is minor compared to the publicity they will generate for fighting against the commie plan.

With no one on the side of actually providing medical care to people, this is going to be a one-sided battle. But then, hasn't everything been that way for the last two years?

8. A waste of time?!
Oh no, the party of fiscal and personal responsibility would never, e-e-e-ever fritter away valuable and limited legislative days on symbolic fluff! And if they did, they'd surely reimburse the Treasury for the time they knew in advance they were wasting, so they'd do it on their own dime and not dun the taxpayers for it.

10. Dog and pony show, part of the Bash Obama strategy a la Impeach Clinton
Expect a ton of headlines and almost no action or follow-up from the "majority" in the House.

11. Not in whole, but disassembling it piece by piece.
At some point it is supplanted by much more anemic and targeted reforms.

That is the strategy, anyway.

Together with refusal to fund aspects which require tax money to accomplish.

13. K&R. They won't. They will waste a lot of time and get a lot of publicity and
accomplish nothing at all, especially nothing of any real help to our country.

15. They can't
but it's a sop to their tea-bagging followers. Who will be even madder at them for not following the program. So, it's a good thing.
