Clowns killed in alleged drug gang hit in Mexico
Edited on Fri Jan-07-11 01:01 AM by niceypoo
Two street clowns were found dead in southeastern Mexico alongside messages allegedly from a drug gang accusing them of working as army informers.

The clowns were found in bright costumes and makeup on a roadside on Sunday in the city of Villahermosa, bearing signs of torture and a message accusing them of being army informers, their families said.

...

The Tabasco state attorney general's office said they were found with a message attributing the crime to the Zetas drug gang, which is known to be active in the area.

Police meanwhile found a female head wrapped in a jacket in a park in the Chihuahua town of Jimenez, in the most gruesome of 15 murders uncovered overnight, the state attorney general's office said.

Just when you thought the drug war couldn't get anymore disturbing...

1. Since America is the main market for drug cartels, it
seems legalizing and regulating those drugs would put the gangsters out of business, like the repeal of prohibition did here in the USA. Then maybe these gruesome tragedies would stop.

3. How will this ever end? If the US doesn't legalize marijuana what will be the final result?
I framed the question poorly, but what will Mexico be like in 5 years if we don't address the demand-side issue?

4. I was hoping it'd be the Insane Clown Posse who got killed. Sadly, it isn't.

7. poor bastards
the clowns juggle in the streets and wash car windows at intersections for pesos, so that gives them ample time to see who is coming and going, cops,rivals,army,navy,etc...looks they got caught up in the cartel being the eyes for one side against the other...the lure of easy money!!

11. Translation on the message
This happened, to finger and toad
and believing that the Secretary of Defense (SEDENA)
would protect me.

Attention, Fez.

I must say, I have seen a few that were interesting, but this one will mean something to CISEN... the intelligence arm.

It is heavily coded. Oh and it is also a warning to any other informers, real or imagined.
