IRS Mileage Rate?

Why is it stuck at 51 cents per mile. In 2008, when gas prices were last this high, the rate went to 58 1/2 cents per mile.

3. Because they've done so.....

.... in other years where gas prices exploded after the initial rate was set. I am just guessing, of course.

in 2008, they raised it July 1. I just looked it up.
