Poll question: Do you leave the energyguide labels on your appliances?
Edited on Mon May-30-11 11:10 AM by Renew Deal
I've been to houses where the energyguide labels are still on the appliances. This is especially true with refrigerators. Do you leave the energyguide labels on your appliances?

1. No, but I do peel them off and save them with the manual
Since often that information is not in the manual or supporting documentation.

2. My furnace still has its label, as does my water heater.
I can't see any reason to remove them, frankly. I wouldn't leave one on a refrigerator, though, or anything in a public part of the house.

5. Once when I was a kid...
I got a Barbie canopy bed for Christmas.

I ripped the tags off of the bedspread and pillows, then noticed where it said "Illegal...blah blah blah" and seriously thought I was going to go to jail.

Then I got older and realized that it's legal for the consumer to take them off.

I know lots of people joke about how it's illegal, but really...people can take those labels off their own pillows.

7. It is just illegal for the retailer and distribution channels ahead of it. But yes...
...I had the same "oh shit" feeling as a kid. It is STILL a fun joke!

6. Energy guide has been lying on washer for a few months but only because
I hadn't put away the manual. It's not like I refer to the energy guide
