Michele Bachmann Plans Iowa Trip; Is a 2012 Bid on Tap?
Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann, a Tea Party favorite, may be considering a 2012 presidential bid - a possibility that her chief of staff confirms is not "off the table," according to ABC News.

In recent weeks, speculation swirled around the possibility that the Minnesota congresswoman might challenge the state's Democratic Senator, Amy Klobuchar, for her seat in 2012.

Now, amid reports that Bachmann has set a number of public appearances and private meetings in Iowa - a key primary state and popular first stop for prospective presidential candidates - it appears that the conservative Republican may have set her sights on higher ground.

Just the worst crop of rumored candidates ever. Palin, Bachmann, Newt, Huckabee and "True Patriot" Glenn Beck. It really makes me sick to my stomach to think that one of these people could possibly end up as our next President.

2. What's weird is that her own fellow Repubs didn't even want CrazyEyes
for a House leadership role. By what delusion does she think they want her as President??

4. She probably doesn't care if the establishment wants her
She's more Tea Party, and they don't care what the GOP establishment thinks of her or her chances. See Christine O'Donnell.

11. Many think that move was made to shut her up.
It certainly wasn't done to tap her broad knowledge of US intelligence policy and experience in this area. Members are required to keep a tight lid on the proceedings there...something that will surely frustrate the crazy lady from Minnesota.

12. Interesting strategy. But Three little words: "Rep. Pete Hoekstra"
That guy leaked like a sieve when he was on the Intelligence Committee.

15. Palin, Bachmann both have the runaway bride eyes. Unstable.
On another note, Bachmann is famous for lying about issues. Do you think the press would challenge her on her outrageous lies if she decided to run?

17. LOL--I had forgotten about that runaway bride and her psycho eyes.
I am still waiting for the press to seriously challenge Palin on her constant bullshit, so...I don't think so. They'll treat her as credible and serious, which is horrifying.

18. They "mainstreamed" her. Just like how they "mainstreamed" the teabaggers.
A lot different than how the John Birch Society was reported on in the olden days.

there's something in there we need to know.

23. Well, she'll be just like all other Republicans -
Absolutely REFUSE to answer or even hear any hard questions.

Republicans really have a "Because I said so" attitude and the lapdog media more or less cowers down and says "Well, OK then . . ."

Same with debates - they get to dictate the content for some effed-up reason. SarUH wouldn't field certain questions and had to be dumbed down to even be on the same stage with Joe. Christine O'Donnell continually provides non-answers or just nutjobbery when asked hard questions. Bachmann frequently runs from press that isn't complicit.

16. I'm not so sure I would wish for it. She is more articulate than Palin, and goes unchallenged when
she lies.

8. Sorry Michele -- but they can't gerrymander the country
She may be able to get away with her lunacy within her nutty district -- but the buck stops there, I'm quite certain.
