Cantor continues to hold Joplin relief hostage.
Cantor: (paraphrasing) 'What'll it be, Joplin? Rebuild or Medicare?' (What they really will give us is neither)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/30/eric-cantor-on-face-the-n_n_868700.html

On Sunday, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) reiterated his position that disaster relief funds for the tornado victims in Joplin, Missouri must be paid for with cuts to other programs. "Congress will find the money," Cantor said on CBS' “Face the Nation” "And it will be offset."

(snip)

"Where is his heart?" Rep. William Lacy Clay (D-Mo.) said of Cantor. "Where is his compassion for people who are suffering today?"

"If they want to fight and quibble over the supplemental, I mean, they are heartless. What's wrong with them?" Clay said. "Nothing for the average American community. That's what they're saying: we don't have anything for the average American community."

(end snips)

3. Maybe he thinks he can turn Joplin into President Obama's Katrina.

Where is that compassionate party they proclaimed themselves to be in years past?

5. Dubya was the first and last compassionate conservative, a la KKKarl Rove.
It was all an illusion, while they stole from the poor and gave to the rich.

9. Cantor joins the ranks of known psychopaths
Up to now he could get away with just being considered greedy. But with this he's showing a profound cruelty that only a psychopath exhibits.

11. It's that Randian philosophy thing. Makes them go cold to most of the world, except the filthy rich
It tells them it's okay if you are a republican, it tells them it's okay if the president did it. Philosophy of hate. What a concept.

12. Let's see.........
perhaps the 3 billion we send to Israel each year, in violation of the Symington Act, would go a long way helping Joplin.
Cantor would never say such things about Israel. After all, we always have a "special relationship" with Israel, whatever
the hell that means.

14. There is no such thing as a compassionate conservative.....
Never has been really....I'd say the people of Joplin should be given the opportunity to vote for Cantor, but since Joplin has voted for Republicans for years and we know most have been brainwashed maybe they need to .....call on their fmily and neighbors to help them out....if there are any left. Don't get me wrong I feel for all who lost everythig, including love ones. It is a shame rethugs think more of corporations then they do people.

16. It's easy to find the money
Take away tax cuts and subsidies for big oil, and end the Bush tax cuts for the rich! Democrats should be putting those cuts on the table if Cantor insists we need to cut anything to pay for helping those who have lost everything this spring in all the tornados and floods!

to undermine Boehner.
Keep it up Cantor. Your sticking knives in the heart of your party.
