The reasons for the tornados..according an asshat...
World Net Daily Publisher Joseph Farah: God's Angry at Obama, So He Sent Tornadoes

How about a slice of End Times paranoia, garnished with fear of a black President, courtesy of Joseph Farah, publisher of Weird Nut Daily? Maybe doomsday is near.

In this almost unbelievably crazed article, full of quotes from the Bible, Farah argues that the recent tornadoes that struck the US were Barack Obama’s fault — because God is angry with him for his policies toward Israel. I’m not making this up.

Joseph Farah’s God resembles a serial killer who picks victims at random, a cruel, vengeful, and capricious deity who kills children in Oklahoma to teach the President of the United States a lesson.

This article is a beautiful example of the bizarre Christianist mindset that many mistake as “support for Israel.” Farah and his fellow fundamentalists only “support” Israel because it’s their personal Armageddon Machine. Jews are just placeholders to them; when Jesus returns, according to Farah’s fanatical theology, the Jews will be expelled and/or “perfected,” and Jerusalem will be the new center of Christian power, forever and ever, amen.

1. You know, a person could get really tired
of this kind of deliberate ignorance and willingness to give up one's whole being to a completely ridiculous and utterly selfish belief system, rather than using the mind you were born with.

I find it totally insane.

5. They ARE using the minds they were born with
That's exactly the problem. And that's why they believe in 'original sin' - because they KNOW they are broken, but they can't imagine that others aren't. At least the proles. The leaders understand it perfectly well, and have been perfecting techniques for breaking people as long as they've had missionaries.

2. And here I thought it was the gays! It's getting damn hard to keep the
list up on who to blame for what. They need to publish a daily hate list so we can try to keep up on who we're supposed to be currently hating.

4. Weather analyst on CNN today said it was because of technology
He was talking to the anchor and said that because of all the Doppler radar, we can now see these tornado's unlike before.

They dare not tie it to global warming, their masters forbid it.

13. Much as I hate to say this...
it's often true.

I know a couple of recovering alcoholics who are positively RABID about religion.

They've merely taken one addiction and redirected it somewhere else.

8. The Enemy of My Enemy is Not Necessarily My Friend
Charles Johnson and his vehicle, Little Green Footballs is has long been at odds with my political beliefs, but I applaud Johnson's relentless attacks on the ultra right wing loonies. To his credit, he calls a spade a spade.

The blog post heard 'round the world.

Why I Parted Ways With The Right

Charles Johnson
Nov 30, 2009

1. Support for fascists, both in America (see: Pat Buchanan, Robert Stacy McCain, etc.) and in Europe (see: Vlaams Belang, BNP, SIOE, Pat Buchanan, etc.)

2. Support for bigotry, hatred, and white supremacism (see: Pat Buchanan, Ann Coulter, Robert Stacy McCain, Lew Rockwell, etc.)

3. Support for throwing women back into the Dark Ages, and general religious fanaticism (see: Operation Rescue, anti-abortion groups, James Dobson, Pat Robertson, Tony Perkins, the entire religious right, etc.)

4. Support for anti-science bad craziness (see: creationism, climate change denialism, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, James Inhofe, etc.)

5. Support for homophobic bigotry (see: Sarah Palin, Dobson, the entire religious right, etc.)

6. Support for anti-government lunacy (see: tea parties, militias, Fox News, Glenn Beck, etc.)

7. Support for conspiracy theories and hate speech (see: Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Birthers, creationists, climate deniers, etc.)

8. A right-wing blogosphere that is almost universally dominated by raging hate speech (see: Hot Air, Free Republic, Ace of Spades, etc.)

9. Anti-Islamic bigotry that goes far beyond simply criticizing radical Islam, into support for fascism, violence, and genocide (see: Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, etc.)

10. Hatred for President Obama that goes far beyond simply criticizing his policies, into racism, hate speech, and bizarre conspiracy theories (see: witch doctor pictures, tea parties, Birthers, Michelle Malkin, Fox News, World Net Daily, Newsmax, and every other right wing source)

And much, much more. The American right wing has gone off the rails, into the bushes, and off the cliff.

I won’t be going over the cliff with them.

9. God is mad,
but not at Pres. Obama. Look at the facts, November 2010, the republicans take control of the House of Representatives, 2011, massive tornado outbreaks in areas that voted for republicans. Co-incidence? I think not.

12. So who was God mad at
when he sent that hurricane into Galveston in 1900

Camille into Mississippi in 1969

Andrew into Florida 1995

Katrina into NOLA 2005

and a whole bunch of other storms before and since and in between...

It's getting so we need a score card to keep up with God's antics.

26. There's actually not a whole lot of difference
between that and the people who thought the Boxing Day earthquake and tsunami in 2004 was caused by some kind of human undersea explosions or some such nonsense.

The sad truth is that most people have almost no understanding of any aspect of science, be it weather or earthquakes or electricity, and simply make up shit to explain what they don't understand.

the RED States where his bestest and most "Christian" followers reside.

Perhaps they need to look at things differently Gawd is punishing them for their Wicked Ways both past and present.
