Wow. Check out this storm picture!

There's some debate whether it was taken yesterday or today. We've had scary weather both days with very creepy skies and several locals have posted this on their Facebook pages.

Here are some more pics:

1. The top one looks like something from a horror movie.
What city is that?

4. Thankfully, I only have to worry about earthquakes and crazy tweakers.
And that nut from Tiburon who just moved in, right down the street.

5. I checked the top pic
There's nothing in the jpeg about date and time taken, unfortunatly.

I found a similar picture on the NBC website; he's the info in the tag:

So it was edited yesterday at about 2pm, presumably Central Daylight Time. I figure they edited it just before posting it, so it was taken some time before. Maybe the same day, maybe Monday.

6. Memphis
We just got through a couple storms with clouds like this. Freaky looking. At one point, at around 8pm it was completely YELLOW outside as far as the eye could see. We tried to get pictures of it but the cameras didn't show the yellow. The clouds looked very scary.

And we aren't done yet - storms coming through most of the night.... sigh.

Good luck everyone in the line of storms!

7. The top picture reminds me somewhat of back in 1965
when the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities were hit hard by tornadoes
I remember the skies were so green, I do not remember if there was a smell to the air or not

9. I call those "Wizard Of Oz" skies
Edited on Wed May-25-11 09:01 PM by rocktivity
because they're ALMOST as scary as the ones in the cyclone scene.

But then again, Dorothy DID live in Kansas...I see them on southern Jersey shore occasionally, at which point I run for cover.
