Help me please! My favorite radio station is putting Bristol Palin on the radio.
Edited on Tue Jan-04-11 09:11 PM by jillan
Let me rephrase that, the station that I used to listen to is putting Bristol Palin on the air.

This is the station I wake up to every morning. I love their blend of music.
When I heard about them offering a job to Bristol this morning, I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't still sleeping.

If you have a minute, can you pretend that you live in Phoenix and how dare them put that twit on the radio? Seriously - who is she anyway other than some lunatic's kid????

(Clear channel - shoulda been my first clue)

---------------
Bristol Palin gets a morning-show job offer from "Mix 96.9" in Phoenix
The "Dancing with the Stars" contestant has recently bought a five-bedroom house in the Phoenix area and that leads Clear Channel's KMXP to offer her "a salaried on-air position as a co-host on our morning show." The station says it's a "respected brand in the market, not a high-school hijinx-minded radio station" and that she'd only need to work a few hours per weekday, with opportunities for additional talent fees. It even says Mix can be flexible, if Palin needs to work from other cities, and it promises that "we are not looking for a political commentator." Check Mathew Blades' job offer to Bristol Palin here - in what is a no-lose proposition for the radio station.

4. Bristol Palin
The future leader of the free world

She is world renown for her hard hitting, insightful views of today's topics around the world.
She is an expert on teen sex, relationships, the economy, dancing for money, living within a dysfunctional family.

6. Why? She is going to be studying journalism at ASU.
As if having Brewer as governor wasn't bad enough, now we have the Palins invading our state.

7. I feel for you for the Palin invasion, but am still not clear...
Edited on Tue Jan-04-11 09:37 PM by hlthe2b
why you think this radio job is for real and not just a station stunt to get publicity?

BTW. the dean of the university where she was supposely going to attend and study journalism denied that she had had any contact with the school-- I saw that a few days ago)...

Perhaps most of this is just Grizzly Bear Palin's attempts to throw the media off of a larger scandal?

13. She is NOT going to be studying journalism at ASU.
ASU has denied that she has applied or been accepted. Rumors, rumors, rumors.

14. omg - what a bunch of bullshit! That's what they were saying this morning as to why they were giving
her a job.

Lies, lies and more lies.
How can such a dysfunctional family like the Palins, have so much power over some people? Why don't they see what a bunch of losers they are?

24. Because we keep reacting to them.
Ignore them. Ignore them to the point that fully half the nation (ie, the progressive half) doesn't give one shit about anything any Palin says or does. It's what they deserve, it's the one thing that will shut them up, and it's the one thing that will make publicity stunts like this cease.

Bad publicity is STILL publicity. Every time we fret about some Palin crap showing up somewhere, we promote them. Stop it.

16. Thanks for that link.
I had wondered when the news broke that she was buying a house. She never said, "I've applied and been accepted at ASU." I bet she hasn't taken the SAT or knows the first thing about how to get in.

8. If you want a new station, try the "left of the dial". I rarely ever turn my dial past 91.1 here in

Georgia. It could be worse for you, they switched some of our popular FM stations to the "hate radio" format. At least your station isn't putting Lush Rimjob or Glenn BecKKK or Sean Hannitard on.

9. We are so fascinated by what the Palins are doing in Arizona.
Please read this recent post at The Immoral Minority.

<snip>

Interesting no?

First Van Flein joins Gosar's as Deputy Chief of Staff, then somebody buys a home in Maricopa in Bristol's name, and now this dentists with strong ties to Palin, Van Flein, and Wasilla becomes Gosar's Chief of Staff. A position by the way that he seems completely unqualified for.

It seems that the only ties that Van Flein and Robinson have with Gosar are Palin, politics, and dentistry.

Which is kind of interesting because if not for the support of dentists, and their families Sarah Palin may not have turned out to be....well Sarah Palin.

It was Linda Menard, Dentist Curtis D. Menard's wife, that convinced a young Sarah Heath to compete in the Miss Wasilla competition and later, to take two runs at the Miss Alaska crown.

She was living next to Curtis C. Menard (The man, now a dentist, that she had been infatuated with in High School and the son of Curtis Sr.), while she was pregnant with Track, and damn near put the city of Wasilla into bankruptcy by building a Sports Center in his honor after he died.

Dentists and Arizona, even in the world of Sarah Palin this is an odd combination of "coincidences." And what is it that Sister Sarah always says about coincidences?

Well THIS one is definitely one we all need to keep our eyes on. Something smells extremely fishy.

But hey, at least she has straight teeth.

The Palins are definitely up to something. Poor Arizona...

with morning sickness, etc. Maybe callers could talk about disgusting food items until she blows chunks on the air.

You know it's a sad state of affairs in this country when Bristol Palin is a bigger celebrity than Angelina Jolie or Mick Jagger.

19. If true, who would listen to her?
I find it hard to believe she'd have anything compelling to say. Although, she may be an excellent morning zoo host... I say let her fail on her own (or succeed if that's the case, maybe she'll be able to live a normal life and we'll stop hearing about her)

I dunno, stifle her if she sucks, but don't just do it because her family nut job assholes. That's just my take on it.

21. Imagine that! A single mom away from the parent's nest, working and
buying a house, raising her child, making what appears to be a life for herself and her child and yet we seem not to be able to see the good in this.

I say - Good for her!

22. My favorite radio station is an MP3 player..
I have more tunes on my phone/MP3 player than virtually any radio station has on their entire playlist.

Any station that would so much as consider Bristol Palin for an on-air job deserves to have its listeners flee in overwhelming numbers..
