Is Sara Palin going to Arizona to run for the US Senate seat?

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The purchase of a large custom estate in a desert community north of Phoenix has set off a wave of speculation that the buyer might be former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

The fascination with all things Sarah brought a steady stream of media to the rural north Scottsdale area on Monday, including a number of television news trucks parked near the home. An anonymous Delaware-registered limited liability company paid nearly $1.7 million cash for the 7,900-square foot property earlier this month.

A state Republican Party official said Monday that it's entirely possible that Palin is establishing an Arizona home for family reasons, but he doubts Palin plans a political future centered on Arizona — either in the state's 2012 U.S. Senate race or to base a presidential campaign in Arizona.

1. Wouldn't surprise me in the least
And it wouldn't surprise me if she was elected Senator, then learned it's actually a 'job,' not a podium for her to pontificate from, and quit within 3 weeks

2. Most people (80%) in a US News Report poll say either Palin or Bachmann or both
will run for 2012. I say both will run and they will suck all the oxygen out of the republicans' primary race. The media will go berserk.

3. I wonder if her ego would consider such a low office
The horror of it is, she could get it. There are crazy Senators elected.

4. Who is interested in her?
She's so low in the polls, even Republican polls, it's hard to believe the claim that too many people care about her at all. Except for the media.

If she does run, it will only be to get back the attention she has lost and to make more money.

If the media would find real stories to cover, and there are plenty of far more important issues in Az, she would be completely forgotten.

7. If a Republican official says she isn't, I'd say that's a good indicator she is.
She's probably worn out her welcome in Alaska, but there's plenty of Palinbots in AZ. I think she'll do the Senate race , then she'll take the plunge for POTUS in 2016 - before she loses her starbursty appeal.

11. This could be the right state for her to try
Open seat, large repub party, no real exciting competition in either party. Unless Janet Napolitano makes a move it's likely the winner of the GOP primary is the next Senator.

16. First off, that area isn't that rural. It's well within the city limits;
Scottsdale wisely annexed the area quite a long time ago. It's had water and sewer for a couple of decades at least.

20. Bristol is going to school there
she's likely buying the house to stay at when visiting her kid.

here's a bunch of links to Bristol's school plans.

Why would Sarah do anything that required actual work or knowledge when she can make bookoo bucks just pretending to want to run?
