New MSNBC political analyst: Michael Steele WTF?
My computer has been down, so I may have missed a thread on this, but I got kind of disgusted when Rachel announced last night that MS had been hired by MSNBC. . . . and how excited RM gets about Steele and Megan McCain. I find those 2 (Steele & McCain) to be a waste of time

Anybody else?

2. Rachel is a good actress, as well as a hell of a great analyst and interviewer.
She wants to keep her job.

8. I think she knows she will make mincemeat out of Steele
He is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
My first impression is that this is Comcast's first shot at changing the face of M$NBC

4. Steele was never on the Republican side.
Or not what the party had become.

You have been listening to the media haven't you.

7. well, last time I listened to him
he was defending the "get rid of medicare" bill. Doesn't sound like an old repug to me.

10. I believe we need people on this station that are not all
democratic. Otherwise, how can we be anything but "Fox". I believe in Keith and miss him, but I don't believe Michael Steele diminishes the democratic presence on MSNBC. I certainly hope it will enhance our presence.

14. I have no problem with differing voices
However, I find Steele to be sort of vacuous. I get a little tired of Rachel fawning over him and Megan McCain like they are the end of the world or something.

11. It's entertainment.
MSNBC needs opposition voices or it becomes FOX left. Let's face it, Steele and M.McCain come across as nearly sane compared to most others.

Buchanan will almost always be able to ride his resume. People forget that he was a president-whisperer. He was as close to running the country as you can get.

I like Steele as an out-of-power commentator. I still see him as Jon Stewart's little blue puppet friend.

They are really the same guy. Yet no one objected to the puppet.

You people may understand politics. But you don't know show business.

16. The belief that MSNBC is OUR station, creates the limits of debate.
