Voter suppression efforts in NY-26. The GOP is despicable!

Because, of course, I'm assigning them the blame. A co-worker told me this morning that she received a phone call yesterday telling her that her polling place has been changed for Tuesday's election, and directing her to another location much farther away from her residence. We verified with the Erie County Board of Elections that this was NOT the case, and reported the incident.

I wonder how many others have been lied to this way? My co-worker said that she was considering not voting if she had to go so far out of her way to the new location. She figured she'd check with me since she knows I'm politically active. I'm glad she did.

(I also sent emails to all of the local TV stations about this. Hopefully it will get a mention.)

1. Distribute flyers in the districts where this is happening.

Don't rely on local news for support.

Tell people polling places have NOT been changed.

And tell your friend that it doesn't matter if they plant her poll on the North Pole, she still needs to get her ass out and vote.

2. Oh, she'll be going to vote...

...she's a naturalized citizen (originally from China), and truly appreciates free elections. And I assume she'll be voting our way, but it's not polite to ask. (And I wonder if the Chinese last name is why she was targeted?)

Oh, and I notified the Hochul campaign as well.

3. You know they really want this one. Be on the lookout for uncounted ballots showing up 24 hours

after the election.
