Howard Kurtz calls out fellow CNN host Spitzer’s exclusion from adulterer’s hall of shame

By Kase Wickman

“Reliable Sources” host Howard Kurtz has beef with his employers. Earlier this week, a “CNN Newsroom” story aired a “hall of shame” of adulterous politicians in light of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s infidelity. However, one notable scandalous former politician was left out of the list: Former New York Governor-turned-CNN host Eliot Spitzer.

“I’m sorry, if you’re going to do this kind of story, you have to include Eliot Spitzer,” Kurtz said. “Even if he does now host a primetime CNN program, otherwise you are airbrushing history.”

CNN has since released a statement saying other coverage mentioned Spitzer, and that his exclusion was the decision of a single producer.

Watch the clip, which originally aired May 22, 2011 on “Reliable Sources,” embedded courtesy of Mediaite, below.

3. And OH those pelvic sins cannot be forgiven. Drag them up over
and over over.

They have been occurring as long as there have
been men and women and human nature being what
is they will continue.

No I do not approve. 60% of Men cheat. Some
studies show the percentage higher. Women cheating
is on the increase according to the Doctor on the
same program. No this does not make it right.

I guess I see people as wholes. Their sex life is
only one sliver of what makes the person.

Other people cheat in other ways,

6. If you're going to call out Repukes, businessmen, and international lechers
then you have to also call out people on our side. To do anything else is to be a hypocrite.
