Maine GOP Lawmaker Threatens To Shoot Photographer In Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot
http://thinkprogress.org/2011/05/21/maine-gop-lawmaker-threatens-to-shoot-photographer-in-dunkin-donuts-parking-lot/

Republican state representative Frederick Ladd Wintle is in custody today after threatening to shoot a photographer with the Maine Morning Sentinel in the parking lot of a Dunkin Donuts in Waterville. The representative from Garland, Maine, approached the photographer, Michael Seamans, in a deranged manner and then pointed a gun at him at point-blank range, according to the Portland Press Herald:

In what police termed a “bizarre” series of events, Wintle allegedly started talking to Seamans about the infant that died this week at Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter on Ticonic Street and said he was looking for the mother’s drug dealer.

News reports made no mention of drugs involved in the infant’s death and did not reveal the family.

He then pulled a .22-caliber handgun out of his pants’ waistband and pointed it at Seamans in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot, located on Kennedy Memorial Drive.

3. Typical repuke. Meets any kind of disagreement with violence.
Since they have no logical reasoning skills, and are in the wrong on every single issue, violence is the only thing they've got.

And shouldn't he be given a very long sentence for pointing a gun at someone? In Rikers?

4. it's not even remotely typical, but your comment, alas, is. it's typical
of those who have completely lost any reasoning ability or perspective. I've seen your comment dozens of times on freeperville about dems and here about repubs? And Rikers is a facility for New York, not Maine.

6. Thanks. That needed to be said,
although I know nothing about this person's history or other haunts.

5. I know this guy.
Yes, he's a Republican, but I think he might have had a nervous breakdown. This is really out of character for him.

7. "out of his pants’ waistband"
I'm surprised he didn't shoot his balls off. Every time I hear about one in someone's waistband, it's that type of story. Holsters were invented for a reason.

8. If it's not schizophrenia, I'll join in the fun... but I'll pass until he sees a psych...
I don't like most of the other team or their tactics, but this screams mental illness.

9. This song is relevant:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygausyezIOc

He said, "Hey there, fellow with the hair colored yellow
Whatcha tryin' to prove?
'Cause that's my woman there And I'm a man who cares
And this might be all for you"
I said, "Excuse me"
I was scared and fearing for my life
I was shaking like a leaf on a tree
'Cause he was lean, mean
Big and bad, Lord
Pointin' that gun on me
"Oh, wait a minute, mister
I didn't even kiss her
Don't want no trouble with you
And I know you don't owe me
But I wish you'd let me
Ask one favor from you"

"Oh, won't you
Gimme three steps, gimme
three steps, mister
Gimme three steps toward the door?
Gimme three steps, gimme
three steps, mister
And you'll never see me no more"
