Hochul Leads Corwin, 42% to 38% among Likely Voters

This morning Siena College released a new NY-26 poll showing Democrat Kathy Hochul leading by four points among likely voters. Democrat Hochul 42, Republican Corwin 38, Independent Davis 12.

According to the poll, voters find that the Republican plan to end Medicare is the most important issue in the race and Hochul leads Corwin and Davis on the issue 38/9/8.

NY-26 is a district that Carl Palidino won by 61 percent (despite only receiving 34 percent of the vote state wide). Republicans have spent more than $3.3 million to compete in the district.

And I also did Alvin Brown's direct mail, the longshot Dem who won in the heavily Republican Jacksonville. And Newt imploded this week. It's been a fun ride!

2. Let's hope. But these seem to be good signs.

Being an off-year, things are pretty quiet at work. But Kathy Hochul and Alvin Brown have given us a boost were we least expected it. We're pretty much just enjoying the down time before the Nightmare of 2012 and back to 16-20 hour days!
