Michelle Rhee's Ohio lobbyist hired for anti-collective bargaining bill SB-5

Rhee has repeatedly claimed that she “absolutely supports the right of teachers to collectively bargain on many issues” (see this article in the Huffington Post).

However, her paid lobbyist Robert Klaffky disclosed in an official document that he performed lobby services on SB 5 for ‘United for Children Advocacy’, which is doing business as StudentsFirst.

Cleveland Plain Dealer had earlier reported that Robert F. Klaffky was the lobbyist for StudentsFirst. Klaffky has been called a “long-time friend and adviser“ to Governor Kasich. Klaffky has lobbied for clients such as the GEO Group (a prison privateer), two casino operators, and Lehman Brothers, among others (see this article for more).
