End of Days...they've done the math, oh noes, we're screwed

In 2 Peter 3:8, which is quoted above, Holy God reminds us that one day is as 1,000 years. Therefore, with the correct understanding that the seven days referred to in Genesis 7:4 can be understood as 7,000 years, we learn that when God told Noah there were seven days to escape worldwide destruction, He was also telling the world there would be exactly 7,000 years (one day is as 1,000 years) to escape the wrath of God that would come when He destroys the world on Judgment Day. Because Holy Infinite God is all-knowing, He knows the end from the beginning. He knew how sinful the world would become.

Seven thousand years after 4990 B.C. (the year of the Flood) is the year 2011 A.D. (our calendar).

4990 + 2011 – 1 = 7,000

Thus Holy God is showing us by the words of 2 Peter 3:8 that He wants us to know that exactly 7,000 years after He destroyed the world with water in Noah’s day, He plans to destroy the entire world forever. Because the year 2011 A.D. is exactly 7,000 years after 4990 B.C. when the flood began, the Bible has given us absolute proof that the year 2011 is the end of the world during the Day of Judgment, which will come on the last day of the Day of Judgment.

Amazingly, May 21, 2011 is the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Biblical calendar of our day. Remember, the flood waters also began on the 17th day of the 2nd month, in the year 4990 B.C.

They have the math, plus it's "the gays"
What signs precede the Day of Judgment?

Jesus warned of several spiritual signs, such as the complete degradation of the Christian church, the devastating moral breakdown of society, the re-establishment of National Israel in1948, the emergence of the 'Gay Pride Movement', and the complete disregard of the Bible in all of society today as direct evidence of His return.

1. He was interviewed and said gay pride and same sex marriage hastened it ...
but if it's mathematically calculated, then how do those events, plus the others in the OP, "hasten it", when the date's already established?

2. I just hope they have the decency to kill themselves when they dont get taken up
so make sure that you're nowhere near any of these nutjobs (I might even avoid regular churches) Sunday after they realize they were wrong. He's not even put a disclaimer on his website like Oral Roberts used to do, like "the world was saved because enough people were warned".

6. Don't count on it. This fraud pulled the same crap in 1994
At least the Heaven's Gate cult was proactive and decided to "meet" the UFO instead of just hanging around with egg on their faces.
(Snark intended--I don't condone suicide)

3. But wait
if the rain for the flood started in BC 4990, and it rained for "40 days", and a day to God is "one day is as a thousand years", then didn't it take 40,000 years for the rain to flood the earth?

Does that mean that if the "rapture" were to begin tomorrow, God would have 40,000 years to complete it?

Hey...I think I just found an "out" for the Rapture crowd when we are all still here on Sunday 22 May.

They could say; "hey, the rapture is happening today, but remember...a day is 1,000 years in God-time"!

7. So slavery wasn't a "moral breakdown of society?"
Or the annihilation of the Native Americans?

Or the Jews?

Or ...

No it's the GAYS.

12. I'm using something called Web of Trust (WOT)
Of course I also run anti-viral software and use Firefox.

WOT keeps me off really strange sites. It seems to do a good job.

9. Easier to figure
the batting average for End Times predictions- from Old Testament times on. Except for consolation prizes like the fall of the Roman Empire and local fireworks like Krakatau(calculated like walks) it is 000.00.

I am worried that the lazy ease of rational people will someday make our math and calculation skills inferior to the enthusiastic contortionists in Loon World. Then again, some future generation has only to be accidentally right once and fool themselves into thinking it was their math prowess all along.

There are more useful and Christian usages of math, like how much human suffering can be eased by distribution of government and personal resources for Beatitude imperatives.
