Jane Seymour: This isn't Schwarzenegger's only love child

http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2011/05/18/jane-seymour-this-isnt-schwarzeneggers-only-love-child/

he world may have been shocked by Arnold Schwarzenegger's recent admission that he had fathered a child with a household staff member during his 25-year marriage to Maria Shriver, but actress Jane Seymour says she saw it coming.

"I was not even remotely surprised," the actress told CNN during the red carpet premiere of "Love Marriage Wedding" last night. "The moment I heard it, that there was an announcement of their separation—he was obviously jumping the gun before everyone else told the world of the news."

The former Dr. Quinn shared more of her thoughts on the situation. "From what I gather, I think there will be lots of information coming people's way," she says. "I heard about two more (out of wedlock kids) somebody else knows about. I even met someone who knows him well."

Ultimately, she says, "I feel sorry for the kids."

44. I bought a couple
of different versions of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini before I found one with the variation on it (18th variation) that plays that music. Later I bought the SIT soundtrack and just love it. Would be nice to find an updated, really good version of it the Rhapsody as the one the orchestra overwhelms the piano in the one I have.

10. Wow, a quip about rape...how lovely!
Edited on Fri May-20-11 09:25 AM by CoffeeCat
The point is that Arnold was married and had children. He was a predator, in that sense. He totally
violated his wife, by lying repeatedly to her and having sex others. And screwing the maid, under your
own roof, and while your wife interacts with her on a daily basis--is a special breed of sick.

Furthermore, he was elected, in part, by trodding out his beautiful wife and children--using them as props. He used
them to suggest that he was an incredible family man with oh-so wonderful family values. It was all a lie.

So yeah--it was all his fault. He bears the fault of being a lying, hypocritical, dishonest, narcissistic bastard.

And making jokes about rape really is classless and insensitive. Consider taking that down. It's not funny.

66. Seriously, that's an awful thing to say.
Unless you're trying to play a little identity politics brinksmanship, what Arnold did is not rape - so why interject that little joke into things? And why make rape a joke in the first place? I don't care if this is interpreted as PC - it really wouldn't hurt anyone to have a little more fucking sensitivity towards others.

39. It's the "Roots" mindset...people versus "property."

Scene 21. The Ship's Hold.

Mr. Slater tells his men to get the slaves up on deck and get them dancing for some exercise. The women are also to be brought up on deck. Slater tells the Captain that he will be wanting one of women at least for a "belly warmer". Davies says no to the idea..

Scene 23. Exercise.

The crew forces the slaves to dance by flogging their legs. The women are brought up. The Captain tells Slater that he has not slept well since the start of the voyage. Slater again mentions the need for a "belly warmer". The Captain returns to his cabin and takes his cap and wig off.

Scene 25. The Captain's Companion.

The Captain writes his wife Elizabeth a letter. He writes: "If only you could know how much I regret having taken this command." Slater comes in with a very frightened African woman. The Captain says he does not approve of fornication, but Slater says he only brought her as a belly warmer, that's all. Slater leaves alone. The Captain tells the woman that his name is Thomas, but realizes she doesn't understand a thing he says.

25. Of course I care. Arnold vetoed marriage equality on the basis of
his 'traditional values' which means he is both a bigot and a raving, lying hypocrite. It is always important to point out when anti-equality religious shouters are in fact mendacious adulterers. It is like finding out that a famous vegetarian eats meat three meals a day, it is news because of the hypocrisy. Arnold's entire Party raves about 'traditional marriage' and they are Ensign and Coburn, they are Arnold and Newt.

Which is it?

Sorry, but public figures and celebrities have no right to privacy, with compelling exceptions. By no stretch of the imagination does this qualify as one of them.

To the contrary, infidelity and philandering speak to his lack of fitness of character to hold high public office. Gary Hart, anyone?

Arnie already turned my state into a financial disaster. Pretty and talented as she is she sure has not earned a profile in courage, it's easy to join in now.

62. On this point, I agree with you.
One of the character traits that I look for in people that I associate freely with is whether those people take courageous stands when it is difficult to do and when they stand to have monumental setbacks heaped upon them. People in the know that are talking now are just piling on. The courageous moment would have been when Arnold was passing himself off as the savior apparent for California and a good public servant was being lampooned and hated across California. Grey Davis has moved on to other things in life, but the recent disclosures must cause an "I knew" moment for him. The two leading contenders for his office were Darryl Issa and Arnold, how absurd.
