Carl Hiaasen has the best summation on tea-party wishes, should they come true
I, like Carl Hiassen, grew up in South Florida, and loved it. It used to be a great place to live. I really wanted to move back there, but I am concerned with the crazies who are in office. Carl Hiaasen has been writing about the area for many years, and I've had the pleasure of hearing him talk about it in person.

CH has this to say about Rick Scott, and I think it can be extrapolated to the entire country:

You've said that Gov. Rick Scott "seems determined to redefine crazy at least once a week." What's your take on him?

"Nobody knows that much about Scott yet, except that he's a rigid ideologue. Obviously he's a bit hazy on how the process of government works, and also on the concept of separation of powers. If he gets even half of what he wants in his budget cuts, many Floridians are going to be stunned by what happens to their daily lives in regard to schools, medical treatment, public parks, local police and fire services. Try calling the Tea Party if your house goes up in flames."

I think this concept can be extrapolated to all aspects of what can, and seems to be, happening to the daily life of the average American- be he apolitical, left, right, center, etc.

What can we do?

7. He's been sticking it to Team Rodent for years
when I was a kid, I visited Disney World when it opened in 1973, and it always presented itself as this eco-friendly-type company. Not so, not so, but, lo these many years later, we all pretty much figured that out. Maybe Disney was like that in his day.
