Prepare NOW...The End is NEAR - or - maybe - my own photos of Epic FAIL

I saw this parked at the side of the highway.
Behind the vehicle is a store where you can quickly get cash for the trip.

Showing you the other side as well. As you can see no money that could have helped some of the poorest among us was spared in wrapping this truck with expensive graphics.

I would imagine that a) some people will be happy to return their stuff, or that b) they gave away stuff contingent on it actually, you know, rapturing, as it were.

For the few sad souls who unequivocally gave away everything, well, perhaps they can go to familyradio.com and find shelter.

Most importantly, I hope that next time they consider the value of a 'biblical guarantee'.

I'm all for Freedom of Religion, and so since these people are exercising that freedom.

31. Let us join in prayer that this is the case
remember... that put the kibbush on the second great revival... would be grand if the lord in all his wisdom decided to put a kibbush on this current insanity by ahem... sticking to Biblical exegesis... "ye shall not know the time or day of my coming."

To this one, can I have an amen?

It really shocks me that people actually put that shit on trucks, on billboards, in magazines, articles, etc. Do they honestly believe that the world will end on may 21st which there isn't any indication of... even in the Christian bible? I know, or should know, because I've read both testaments and no where did I see such a thing mentioned. The sad thing is, all that time in bible study? You can't trade it in for something more useful, like video game playing or scratching your ass.

At one point in time I was a Catholic, I wonder how I would have reacted to this if I hadn't been overwhelmed by the power of the dark side and left the church...

Sarcasm aside, when I first saw one of those big ugly signs, while on a commuter rail in MA, it spooked me a bit. I looked at it without thinking for a moment and was briefly quite a bit scared. Once I recovered from that, I was more stunned from the stupidity of people who without any evidence or valid reasoning believe the world is going to end on a specific day - well, Saturday, actually. It seems an attempt to promote fear.. I'm wondering why. There must be some motive, not everyone involved in this could be a true believer. All of this fuss over the prediction of some wannabe prophet who has been wrong at least twice before? Are there really that many.. well, incredibly stupid people?

Who stands to profit from peddling this nonsense and convincing others that it's true? How do you make money in such a scheme? It all just boggles my mind, but I'm sure profit is the motive, somehow.

(edited for grammatical errors - the ones I noticed)

Why would they renew it for a full year after the 'pocyclypse? You don't think this is some sort of ruse, do you?
