Jacksonville just elected Alvin Brown (Democrat) as the first African American mayor in the city's history and as the first Democratic mayor in 20 years.

The repukes are scared out of their minds. The backlash against the TeaBagger Nation has begun. 2012 is looking good for D's everywhere. The repukes are batshit crazy and people are starting to realize this. They have no ideas and do not govern for the benefit of the people but the businesses and the wealthy.

2. The Tea Party
in the state of Florida is ensuring the younger generation of the state of Florida becomes a deep blue state. The Republicans of this state are on an all out assault on education led by Rick Scott. The elderly are also seeing the effects of the Tea Party in the state, and it is ugly. If they continue with their wanton destruction of what makes Florida great, don't be surprised if Florida becomes the bluest state in the nation faster than you can blink. ;)

4. Wish I could agree
but as a lifelong Floridian I've seen the electorate vote blue very rarely because this is essentially a conservative state, even among Dems. As it stands today, Rick Scott is not universally hated enough to lose a reelection bid. It could come to that in time, but I'm doubtful.
