4. Good. They can reapply for bail if the DNA comes back not a match--
Slimy guy--is now implicating his daughter in his alibi.

He apparently left personal items, including his cell phone, in the hotel room, got his daughter, went to lunch, and went to the airport after that.

Sounds to me like he set up an alibi, and then tried to flee.

I'm going to bet a lot more is going to come out.

5. Good. European countries don't seem too keen on sending rapists
back to us for prosecution.

8. I think it is more serious than that
The description of the crime is slowly coming out.

He is a bad man *and* a flight risk. I don't think anyone was thinking of Polanski when they denied his bail.

9. I can't stop shaking my head as more comes out...
How the hell does someone like this get by with it for so long. Obviously, he has used the power he continually accumulated "well." :eyes:

Innocent until proven guilty, surely, but it certainly does seem that the emerging facts are against him.

10. I agree with every word you wrote
Innocent until proven guilty - yes.

Flight risk? Yes, of the highest order. Were he a US citizen, we could lift his passport and maybe work out a bail deal. As foreign national, our only recourse is to jail him until arraignment.
