What will Harold Camping and the May twenty firsters do on May 22?
When nothing happens on May 21 will Camping and his crazy ideas finally be finished?

1. No..
It's not like this is the first time this kind of thing has happened.

4. Camping's last debacle was in 1994. He is now 89 years old. Doesn't leave much room for gearing up
for another rapture date. These things take planning.

12. There is no end to these religious hucksters..
When Camping finally takes the long dirt nap there will be another con artist more than happy to step into his shoes and that con artist will find no lack of whacked out followers to bilk.

2. Since it is Sunday they will probably spend the day in church
or maybe looking for their possessions which were expropriated by those who knew they would not be raptured.

3. Camping will move on
predict a new date, hopefully by which he will have personally been removed from the planet and pretend it was all just another mistake in calculation.

Many of those following him will try to pick up however they can. Because so many of them have gotten rid of everything to promote this idiocy they will fall back on family, friends and the rest of us as taxpayers (that they detest) for assistance.

5. The first thing will do
is blame the "liberal Medi", and then deny they meant May 21st of this year

7. He's already been wrong once, so the answer to your second question is probably not
Camping predicted over a decade ago that The Final Day was in September of 1994. He was wrong, but that hasn't stopped tens of thousands of idiots from thinking he's right this time.

Part of me wants to feel some level of sympathy for those who have quit jobs, sold houses and cars and basically given up all worldy posessions because they think May 21st is The End. The majority of my feelings though, say that if you're going to be easily led, you deserve the fate you bring on yourself.

8. No, they'll say that their prayers averted God's wrath for a while.
I learned that back in 1959 when a local Baptist church predicted that H-bombs would be dropped on my state in 1958. In 1959 they credited their prayers with averting the nuclear holocaust.

9. His full-page USA Today ad explained away his last wrong prediction
of the end of the World. The statement is he made an error reading the Word and NOW the correct date in May 21st 2011.

"OOPS sorry true believers! I had a bad bout of intestinal gassitude and incorrectly heard a gaseous fart to be the voice of Gawd saying "May twenty-first!" Hey, being a profit...I mean prophet is difficult! I now know the true date of the end of the world:
The TRUE end of the world will actually be (fill in date here)."

11. Actually, there is an "out": the Gregorian May 21 is the Julian May 8
OTH if we plug in the Julian day of May 21 we get the Gregorian day of June 3. So maybe we have another 2 weeks to party?

13. This dude spent $140,000.00
An elderly guy spent every dime he had on bill boards, posters, news print, etc. sharing this.

Imagine what good that kind of money could do.

And imagine how sick THIS dude will be on the 22nd.

14. What they always do: move the goal posts.
No logical statements can move them because that is what
they 'believe,' as irrational as it is.

That's how delusional they are.
the tragedy is the press they get.
This is nothing new: google 'millerites.

Same old garbage: fleece the flock.
