This thing is awesome. My initial browse has already turned up stuff from Teddy Roosevelt and William Jennings Bryan.
Chances are, you've made a playlist in the last few months. But how many of those songs were from before 1925?
I'm in love with the "National Jukebox," a wonderful new website from the Library of Congress. The site contains more than 10,000 rare sound recordings -- all for free! -- produced between 1901 and 1925.
Go there now, and you can listen to a pre-made playlist for a taste of what you may find. Once you feel like poking around a little, I suggest hitting the "Browse All Recordings" button to explore.

The site contains everything from early jazz to opera to poetry to famous speeches to humor and novelty songs. It even includes "early sound effects records such as a collection of snores and sneezes." Awesome.
