Come on admit it DU, we really want Newt as the puke nom?
Not Newt, who else?

Mittens, so we can roast him about his crazy ass beliefs?
Huckabee, so we can hope for Chuck Norris as the VP?
Palin, so we can laugh at the decline of the GILF?

Newt would be so easy to beat.

1. That would be epic.
Bet Obama could make Newt cry at the debate.

2. So many to choose from...
Like a box of chocolates. Let's see, we got Bachmann, and Palin, and Paul, and Paul redux, and Cain, and Trump, and Romney, and Huckster, and Christie, and Pawlenty, and Bolton, and Ryan, and Santorum, and Jindal, and Daniels, and Bush the Possibly Less Stupid, and Huntsman, and Perry, and how can we forget Roy Moore, who we hope would push for ten commmandments plaques and monuments all over the place. Or maybe we should say Ten Suggestions, since these clowns ignore most of them anyway.

Chuck Norris would be hard to pass up though, I'd be tempted to register Republican for the primaries to get him on the ballot, just to see what goofy shit he'd come up with.

8. Permanut!
Where have you been the past 3 years? I was just about to (sincerely) welcome you to DU.

Btw, who is Roy Moore? I'm sure I should know, but it's not ringing any bells.

You should post more often. Really. And a belated welcome to you.:fistbump:

19. Roy Moore is the Alabama judge that insisted the Ten Commandments be posted
in the Court Room.

20. Oh, yes.
Still wouldn't have remembered the name but I do recall the religious nuttery.

22. Thanks Control!
I really do feel welcome here, I don't post as often as I'd like, but I'll tell ya one thing. This unruly group at DU is shining a big spotlight on the koolaid bowl and the denizens of the darkness. Sometimes this place is rockin' with controversy, and sometimes with humor that is pure genius. I don't know how to express my appreciation for the voices of sanity here.

3. The only one candidate who worries me right now is Huckabee. I'm not sure
what skeletons he has in his closet that could be used to stop him. And I can tell you he is dearly loved by the social conservatives I know. If he wins the nomination, and he very well could, I'm going to worry. I think the bad economy will be a hindrance to President Obama.

I do still think President Obama will win, but I think it will be a closer call if Huckabee is the one he is campaigning against, compared to, say, Palin or Trump.

14. Huckabee's skeletons may be buried in his sermons of yore
There may be Rev Wright moments in them, but we won't know because he won't release them.

10. At least we'll get plenty of comedy
from the primaries and the debates. Those should be a gold mine.

6. Yes, I'll admit it.
Obama is going to need some looong coattails to keep the Senate and win back the House. Someone as bizarre and paranoid as Gingrich who is further hampered by his completely unlikable personality might help extend those coattails just enough.

11. No. I do not.
I didn't think this country would be so stupid and insane as to elect an imbecile who drove every business he ever had into the ground, and could not even find oil in Texas--let alone do it TWICE. I no longer trust the majority of my fellow citizens enough to expect that they are still not stupid and insane enough to stick us with this corrupt, revolting sack of shit.

13. That'd suit me just fine: he's meaner than meanness itself
and his own worst enemy. The sheer nastiness of the guy is enough in itself, but with the litany of his evils of the past and his pure creepiness, he'd be fun to watch squirm.

If he's the one, though, we must fight the most relentless ad hominem campaign imaginable, and he provides plenty of ammunition. The right should be tarred with him as a champion, showing the selfishness and unscrupulousness in the clear light of day.

Edited on Thu May-12-11 07:59 PM by kenny blankenship
I may not love Barack Obama, but Newt Gingrich (and all who sail in her) needs a humiliating, public smackdown, heard from sea to shining sea, and Barack Obama is just the man for the job.

I don't like Mitt Romney any, but it's a lot easier to hate Newt Gingrich and all the damage he and his kind have done to this land. Let it be Newt and let him be destroyed.

Newt is very, very beatable.

Though it's not like we have anything to fear this election cycle.
