Pressure mounts on Gadhafi within Libya's capital

TRIPOLI, Libya – Pressure is mounting on Moammar Gadhafi from within his stronghold in the Libyan capital, with increasing NATO airstrikes and worsening shortages of fuel and goods. Residents said Thursday there has also been a wave of anti-government protests in several Tripoli neighborhoods this week — dissent that in the past has been met with zero tolerance and brutal force.

Gadhafi's rebel opposition, meanwhile, received major political boosts from abroad. Britain promised to provide them with police gear, and the Obama administration invited a rebel delegation to the White House for talks on Friday.

1. uh, yeah, tripoli is being bombed & people are out protesting & khaddafi is
brutally repressing them.

i tell you what, if my city was being bombed by khaddafi i wouldn't be out protesting nato.

i'd be trying to avoid the bombs.

fuck this bullshit "humanitarianism"

every war in modern history has been initiated under the cover of "humanitarianism". including hitler's invasion of poland.

2. Tripoli citizens were part of the original protests vs Daffi --
but he so brutalized the city that everyone went home --

5. i see some people marching along shouting something that sounds like "jai ji allah" & a loud noise.
then the video ends.

i have no idea where it was taken, when, who took it, who those people were, or what was going on.

the blogger has placed it with an al jazeera story written by someone who wasn't there who says these things "reportedly" happened. he mentions two unnamed sources & a statement by a french official.

maybe you think that's rock-solid evidence, but i don't.
