Fascinating: Casey Anthony Voir Dire and the Death Penalty.
Edited on Thu May-12-11 01:01 PM by Mike 03
Are any of you as transfixed by this as I am? I am certain, after observing today, that even the Prosecution doesn't want to enpanel a jury that will sentence Casey Anthony to death. They appear to be embarrassed to bring Death against this defendant.

This is so interesting. The Prosecution seems to be admitting they were pressured into pursuing the death penalty by political forces, even though they think it is ridiculous to put this person to death for this crime.

No wonder Prosecutor Ashton always looks like he is verging on having a heart attack.

The death penalty needs to be phased out. I know passions run high on this issue, but it is overprosecuted, and the Casey Anthony case, IMHO, is a classic example of an egregious example of overprosecution.

Just my two cents.

1. The trial is going on?
She killed her beautiful daughter. Personally don't want her or anyone who would harm a defenseless kid ever released into society. Maybe not death penalty but...

We don't know if death is a punishment or a reward. Which is one of the reasons I'm against the death penalty.

I don't want her to be "put out of her misery" I want her alive and in a little cell for the rest of her life to give her lots of time to think about all the partying she's missing out on and that she sacrificed her daughter for.
